The ABC21 viewing area woke up to a mix of sleet, freezing rain and a touch of snow -- depending somewhat on exactly where you were Sunday morning.
Conditions made for treacherous driving before dawn and for the first hours after sunrise, as crews worked to de-ice streets and highways. Slide-offs and some accidents were reported in and around Fort Wayne.
At the airport, most flights were departing and arriving at or close to their scheduled times, though those between Fort Wayne and Chicago were among cancellations in the Midwest.
After this slippery Sunday, warmer weather will follow. Temperatures by midweek will reach the mid-40s. Wednesday and Thursday look like the warmest days of the week, with the next chance for showers (rain, not snow) set for Thursday and Friday.
