An early morning crash involving a semi-tractor and a pickup truck claimed the life of a Peru man.
Indiana State Police said the accident happened just before 5 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Business 31.
The semi, investigators believe, failed to stop at a red light, crashing into the side of a 2005 Dodge pickup truck driven by 49-year-old Gregory Monin.
Monin was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died.
The semi driver, 41-year-old Celena Borders, of Seymour, was cited for disregarding a traffic control device. State police do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
