If you have been procrastinating getting rid of your Christmas tree, here is your gentle reminder.
Time is running out for Allen County residents to take their tree to be recycled. If you try to throw your tree out with your regular garbage you will be out of luck. Christmas trees will NOT be picked up. Several locations throughout Fort Wayne and Allen County will be open to residents looking to recycle their trees (just the tree, don't forget to remove your decorations). The recycled trees are used for mulching purposes throughout the area.
You have until the end of the day Friday, January 12, to take advantage of the program.
