A vehicle vs buggy crash critically injured someone Tuesday morning.
The crash happened around 7:36 Tuesday morning in the area of Grabill Road and Page Road. The Allen County Sheriff's Department said a driver was on her way to school when she attempted to pass a buggy going westbound on Grabill Road.
When the driver saw another vehicle approaching eastbound she got back into her lane. The department said she ended up rear-ending the buggy because of how fast she was going. It appears speed was a factor in this crash. Cpt. Steve Stone from the Allen County Sheriff's Department said it is a reminder to slow down.
"Slow down, realize there are other drivers out," Cpt. Stone said. "There is nothing that important. Still drive safely, stay in your own lane."
The driver of the buggy was taken to a local hospital where they were last listed in critical condition. The other driver was not injured.
