Junk Food Alley to appear on Cooking Channel Thursday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA 21) -

Fort Wayne will appear on cable TV Thursday as a show features the treats in Junk Food Alley.

A production team for a Cooking Channel show dedicated to carnival fare was in Fort Wayne during the Three Rivers Festival shooting a story focused on the festival's "Junk Food Alley."

The program "Carnival Eats" describes itself as a celebration of "today's modern gastronomic freak show," taking viewers "on an international, food-frenzied roller coaster of culinary delights."

"The variety of tempting treats available in Junk Food Alley is astounding," said Jack Hammer, Three Rivers Festival Executive Director. "We are excited to bring national attention to our community in such a fun and uplifting way."

Junk food alley offers a smorgasbord of fair-themed eats, from tenderloins to tacos to funnel cakes and giant buckets of fresh lemonade.

During Thursday's episode, Host Noah Cappe visits the Best Around Funnel Cake booth to taste their unique Cheesy Fried Enchilada Funnel Cake, Timmy's BBQ's Piggyback Mac, and the Everything Elephant Ear from Richardson's Funnel Cakes.

The episode airs Thursday, November 16 at 9 pm on the Cooking Channel.
