Firefighters are usually concerned about helping you and your family, but one Allen County Fire Department is asking you to help one of their own this Saturday.
Christopher Thompson has been a firefighter at Northeast Fire Department for more than 10 years. Besides work, he is a father to three, and a husband. His wife, 34-year-old Heidi Thompson, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. That's why the Fire Department is asking for your help to help raise money for her medical bills.
There will be a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 7-11 a.m. with all the proceeds going to the Thompson family to help pay for medical bills. The cost is $6 per person, and it's all you can eat.
The entire community is encouraged to enjoy some hot breakfast while giving back to a firefighter at the same time. The address is 13415 State St., Grabill, IN 46741.
