The investigation into Tuesday's fire is underway as the Town of LaGrange is cleaning up the aftermath.
ABC21 previously reported a highly destructive fire burned through most of the day in downtown LaGrange, filling the sky over that city with a choking cloud of smoke.
Fire Chief Dave Elick said there were 47 tankers on the scene to haul water to fight the fire when the water towers were dry. The water depletion caused causing low pressure in the water system. This resulted in the town to go under a water boil advisory until at least Friday. The boil advisory will be in place until the water can clear two tests.
The town thanked everyone who helped out. Fire Departments from southern Michigan to Noble County Indiana, from Elkhart County to Steuben County were here to assist.
