A Fort Wayne man will spend at least 40 years for attempted murder.
Willie Amos was convicted of chasing a woman after a car crash, repeatedly ramming her car and then shooting her in the leg. When police got to the crash scene, they found 39-year old Rosita York suffering from a bullet wound. She was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
During Tuesday's sentencing, Amos was sentenced to 40 years for attempted murder. He could face another 17 1/2 years for possession with intent to sell narcotics. The judge will determine later if those 17 1/2 could be added to run consecutively or be run concurrently.
