HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA 21) -

Police are looking for your help investigating a crash that seriously injured someone.

The Indiana State Police said the crash happened around 2:40 Saturday afternoon on I-69 northbound near the 292-mile marker. A 2000 Mack semi-tractor was driving when a spare tire commonly used by enclosed trailers went across the median from the southbound side.

The tire hit the semi-tractor in the windshield. The tire went through the windshield, hit the driver and ended up on the passenger side. The semi driver, John Green, 58 of Zionsville, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The Indiana State Police is asking for anyone that may have witnessed the crash or has any information to contact Trooper Michael Hollandsworth at the Indiana State Police Post at either (260) 432-8661 or (800) 552-0976 (Indiana only). The Indiana State Police was assisted at the scene by the Huntington County Sheriff Department, Markle Fire Department and Huntington County EMA.
