The Fort Wayne man accused of brutally attacking his parents has been formally charged.
ABC21 previously reported Scott Ruse, 50 of Fort Wayne, battered his parents in their home in the 3300 block of Homestead Road July 5 before stealing their SUV. He left his father in critical condition and mother in fair condition. He was found when police tracked the OnStar in the vehicle he stole.
While in court Friday, Ruse was formally charged with two counts of attempted murder an one count of robbery. He was appointed a public defender. Ruse is set to appear in court for a trial setting on July 26 and a pretrial hearing on August 28.
