FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ABC 21) -- In its second year, Executive Director of the Hobnobben film festival Jonah Crismore says the festival is seeing a lot of success.
"A lot of people have told me that something like this wouldn't work out in Fort Wayne and this is our second year, and I think that we've proven everybody wrong," said Crismore.
The festival goes from Thursday through Sunday this year. Friday night included their local block party "blocknobben."
"It's just a really great way to come and hang out with other film lovers, take your picture and build community through the power of film," said Crismore.
"To be here and see it all kind of unfolding is a really cool thing, and we all think it's really great for Fort Wayne and it's great to see everybody come out for it," said Creative Director Nick Farran.
The block party was at the Arts United Center, one of the three venues hosting this year. The other two are the Cinema Center and Parkview Physicians Group Arts-Lab.
The night ended with a film screening outdoors.
Crismore says the block party is a great way to enjoy local beer, food and music.
