Posted: Updated:

Former Komets Brandon Marino and Chris Auger each had goals for the Brampton Beast to aid their 6-1 rout of the Komets Friday night.

The Komets were outshot 38-12 in the game, and only a first period shorthanded goal by Mike Embach prevented their being shut out.

The Beast outshot the Komets 22-4 in the first period, and drove Garrett Bartus from the net with 46 seconds remaining in the first period after he allowed four goals.

The Komets next see action against Indianapolis at the Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday.
