COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Supreme Court has set execution dates in 2022 for two condemned killers. Death row inmate Percy Hutton, of Cleveland, was sentenced to die for the 1985 slaying of Derek Mitchell in a dispute over a sewing machine. Death row prisoner Cedric Carter, of Cincinnati, was sentenced to die for the 1992 shooting of convenience store clerk Frances Messinger during a robbery. Their attorneys oppose setting the dates, saying both men have appeals pending.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Health officials in Ohio are telling some people not to swim in the river that flows through Toledo because of an algae outbreak. Blooms can produce toxins but officials say the bloom isn't affecting Toledo's drinking water.

FREMONT, Ohio (AP) - Police have arrested two more 14-year-old boys in connection with the fatal shooting of another 14-year-old boy in northern Ohio. Authorities say three 14-year-old boys are now in custody in the shooting Sunday in Fremont, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southeast of Toledo. Fremont police said earlier that one 14-year-old boy was arrested on an involuntary manslaughter charge and other charges.
